Call for Papers

The 1st International Conference on Transportation Information and Safety (ICTIS 2011), which was sponsored by China Communications and Transportation Association (CCTA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE), and organized by Wuhan University of Technology (WUT), was held from June 30th through July 2nd 2011successfully in Wuhan, China. 355 papers coming from 15 countries were collected and published, and more than 280 scholars took part in this academic event.

The 2nd International Conference on Transportation Information and Safety (ICTIS 2013) will be held from June 28th to July 1st 2013 in Wuhan, China. The theme of ICTIS 2013 is “Transportation Safety in the Age of Internet of Things”, which includes a broad range of topics related to the theories, technologies and applications in transportation safety and information technology. The conference will showcase international experiences in transportation research and development, and provide a platform for both domestic and overseas experts to exchange successful stories and share lessons learned in research and practice. The conference organizing committee sincerely invites transportation professionals and experts worldwide to submit papers and attend the conference.

For in-depth discussions of the theories, technologies and applications of transportation safety and information technology, in addition to the main conference, ICTIS 2013 will collaborate with famous institutions around the globe to conduct the following special workshops, which are supported by European Commission FP7 Marie Curie Action and The Development Association of Car Electronics.

Conference Topics

Information is the key to the efficient, safe, reliable, and environmental friendly operation of the transportation system. Safety is a fundamental requirement of quality of service of the transportation system and the objective of solving traffic problems. Internet of things (IOT) is an important part of the new generation of information technology. How to improve the safety of transportation system with the technology of internet of things is a flaming research topic in the field of transportation safety and the theme of this conference. ICTIS 2013 will facilitate in-depth discussion about data collection, processing and application of the internet of things, also focus on traffic safety theory, analyzing methods and risk preventive measures and so on.

Paper Submission and Review

The working language of this conference is English. Authors are invited to submit abstracts and full papers in English to the website (http://www.ictis-online.org ). Submitted abstracts should not exceed 300 words. The length of paper is limited to 6 pages, and must be written strictly in accordance with the format of ASCE (The template can be obtained from http://www.ictis-online.org). Abstracts should include the paper title, name(s) of the author(s), affiliations and contact information. For papers with multiple authors, please provide information for all co-authors, including name and contact information (address, phone number, email and fax) of the corresponding author. The authors must ensure the submitted abstracts and papers are original and unpublished. Plagiarisms and intellectual property disputes will not be tolerated in ICTIS 2013.
